Because God allows the challenging situation for our growth; complaining is foolishly and insultingly saying that we have a way that is better than God’s.

God’s perspective is limitless and eternal because He alone is God. While our perspective is usually short- sighted, selfish, and vain.

We need to be careful and realize that we primarily complain against God, just like we sin against a person, first we sin against God!

Thank you for teaching me this important point. I usually don’t complain, Lord please help me to never complain against You, amen.

It’s plain disobedience, faithless, thankless, unappreciative

I’d be “blameless and without fault,” and able to be a “light unto the world.”

Lord help me to be careful, sometimes I say. I’m tired of this or that, or this or that person doing this or that. Help me be careful, to NOT complain in any way. Internally, externally, obviously, discreetly, directly, indirectly, help me Lord to NOT complain in any way! In Jesus name amen!??

I was thinking about that as I listened. Outward complaining may be easier to break but inward complaining takes more self control. I can turn it around by thinking of praise instead or think of the effort and love God is putting into my life.

I can pray for the Holy Spirit to help me be more sensitive to this sin over and over. As this prayer is being fulfilled, I can ask for forgiveness as soon as I’m made aware of it.

Maybe when I’m tired of situations or people, I can ask the Holy Spirit, the Lord to help me praise Him for His faithfulness and ask Him to strengthen me, refresh me, and remember all the times He has been so good to me, amen!??

Just doing it. Consider asking the Holy Spirit to help you.

Well this is hard as it doesn’t come naturally. But I think for me the most practice thing is to thank God for his sovereignty and recognize his goodness and control. That will set the stages for rejoicing.
