I found it interesting that your relationship with money reveals your character and can help have a better relationship with God. The Bible talks a lot about money, so it is important. Everything belongs to the Lord even our finances.

I need to rethink my value towards money and how I use it.

The way I use money reflects my value towards money. All that I possess belongs to God and that includes money.

This statement has hit home. Someone once told me that the Lord often allows a person to teach a subject because the teacher desperately needs it! This is certainly true for me. I have never met anyone who had more wrong-headed attitudes about money or who handled money more contrary to the Bible than I did.

Knowing God is in control takes away the worries of life and put in perspective the things we can’t control.

When you realize God is in control your life is less stressful. You trust that God is working all things for the purpose he has for your life. He lovingly provides for you but as his child he also corrects you.

Worry, I usually don’t worry much about most things, this is something God has blessed me tremendously. But when it comes to providing for my family even I am not the breadwinner, and also the future of relationships I have alot more concern to the point of being anxious and often questioning myself if I did the right thing. Doing my best, doing unto the Lord and not to man, while trusting God is in control has to be enough.

Yes. I have seen God directing my path and controlling my circumstances many times. He has led me to discover my gifts and talents and to develop them. Then He has put me into the perfect position to hone them and been given numerous opportunities to utilize them. He has also placed the right people in my path at the perfect time, whether for a season or a lifetime. He has guided my choices of employment as well. Yet all the while He has provided, even when that did not seem possible.

I have been fortunate in that I have never gone without basic needs, and rarely worry, since I know God loves me and will get me through anything.

I too look to satisfy my basic needs first and then go after the desires of the heart. I learned a little from his lesson in finance.

When I was looking for a new job, the Lord brought my name for consideration to a group of people that I had never considered before. I have been in the same town now for almost 50 years.
