I was surprised by the number of verses about money and possessions. I also do not think of things like, my home, kitchen etc as God’s

I know that God owns everything –from me, my life, the air I breathe, the life I carry, the items I use in staying alive everyday, and my everything, for there is not a thing that I have that I did not recieve from God. GOD IS EVERYTHING TO ME – BOTH IN LIFE AND DEATH.

I didn’t know there were so many verses on finances or that Jesus spoke about finances 15 percent of the time. I suppose when we hand over control of our lives to the lord our money gets placed onto a shelf as if that is the one thing, we created, that he cannot control.

I found it extremely interesting and revealing that valuing money directly competes against God. We should all learn to be good stewards of God’s money.

I found revealing, interesting or challenging in the notes that God owns all so we must surrender all including our minds, our hearts, and our pocketbooks.

    From the notes:

“Martin Luther recognized this struggle when he said, “There are three conversions: the conversion of the heart, of the mind and of the pocketbook.””

When you realize God is in control your life is less stressful. You trust that God is working all things for the purpose he has for your life. He lovingly provides for you but as his child he also corrects you.

Worry, I usually don’t worry much about most things, this is something God has blessed me tremendously. But when it comes to providing for my family even I am not the breadwinner, and also the future of relationships I have alot more concern to the point of being anxious and often questioning myself if I did the right thing. Doing my best, doing unto the Lord and not to man, while trusting God is in control has to be enough.

Because walking with the Lord Jesus Christ make the difference in our life. Knowing the Lord is control makes it easy in life.

It helps to take the pressure off of us and gives us a sense of security to know that the Lord is in control of our circumstances. He sees and knows all and only wants the very best for us. He allows difficulties to draw us closer to Him, without them then we might think that we have no need for Him. In the end, all circumstances help to mature us and accomplish His purposes.

I have been fortunate in that I have never gone without basic needs, and rarely worry, since I know God loves me and will get me through anything.

I too look to satisfy my basic needs first and then go after the desires of the heart. I learned a little from his lesson in finance.

When I was looking for a new job, the Lord brought my name for consideration to a group of people that I had never considered before. I have been in the same town now for almost 50 years.

Recently, I bought a motorcycle, and after I did, I got buyers remorse. I now know it was a foolish thing to do because I just didn’t have the money to pay the monthly payments. I prayed to the Lord about my finances and he answered my prayers. I was in debt already, with credit cards being maxed out. I prayed earnestly to Him. I know that I should of Waited til my finances were in order, however my prayers were answered. I was able to consolidate other financial duties(credit cards) which they called me. I was just waiting for an answer, and they called.
