I found it a nice reminder that God is at the center of everything, and when we in our personal lives put and keep him in the Heart of our daily expenditures and decision making, that He will always provide and find ways to transform situations to fit his plans for us.
-
God owns everything. And I own nothing. Zero. He is in control. He has the power. And His ways, thoughts, plans are always different and higher than mine.
-
It’s challenging to have to let God be in control but also to be responsible for what He gives me to steward! I’d probably be the one who buried the talents out of fear of making a mistake.
-
The idea that our finances affect our relationship with God is a new one. I’d heard the stuff about being stewards because God owns everything, but it’s more challenging this time. That is, it feels like it actually means something important.

Everything today is geared toward spending and accumulating wealth and possessions. We unfortunately live in a consumer based society, that puts strains on relationships, especially with God and his Son Jesus Christ. One cannot serve 2 masters, but people will always try. I know from my own experiences, that anytime I try to put one before the other, or the cart before the horse so to speak, I fail miserably. God first, he will provide and always does, and then he will grant enough to benefit others.
-
So many people seem to just want money and think it will bring them security and happiness.
-
Even as Christians we tend to separate our money from the lordship of Jesus. therefore neglecting His principles.
-
I see people often putting money before Jesus. For example, some work so much to make more money that they have no time for God or church. Others are afraid to give to the church or help those in need because they worry, they won’t have enough for themselves. Social media also makes it hard, as it often pushes people to want more things instead of focusing on what’s truly important, like their faith and relationships.
-
Shopping and managing possessions is a big time stealer and then people don’t have time for God

He wants me to utilize His money for His gain and glory. Whether it be helping local parishes and food banks and shelters, to raising funds and buying clothing for people less fortunate than myself. Try to raise awareness through small acts of love and kindness, hoping others will follow suit.
-
I think God wants me to use His money carefully so that I can provide well for my family.
-
I think God wants me to:
- Give: Be generous to the church and those in need, trusting Him to provide.
- Save and Invest: Use money wisely so I can plan for the future without making money the most important thing.
- Spend: Be careful with how I spend, making sure it honors God and is not wasteful.
- Teach: Help others learn about what the Bible says about money and how to use it to glorify God.
In short, I need to see money as something God gives me to manage, not as something I own, and use it in ways that bring Him glory.
-
I think God wants me to think before I buy. I need to stick to a budget, not impulse spend, save, and have a giving heart.
-
To give when prompted and to open my home to more people. To buy less. Way less
