I found revealing that once we surrender our finances to the Lord, how we handle His money, becomes spiritual decisions. And this falls in line with what I learned a few months ago first through a ministry called kingdom full tabernacles, how money is actually a spirit so that was very interesting.

Everything I have, whether material or intangible things, belongs to God. Thus, I need to be very careful, and surrender them to Him.

Unfortunately, I definitely saw my character change when I had a financial setback vs. when I had an abundance of money. Thankfully, I’m still alive, and God is using this situation and study plan to change and mold my character. It’s not until you have certain experiences that you are able to connect certain dots more personally, but there really are a lot of examples of people’s character being exposed based on their financial situation in the Bible.

I’m fundamentally challenged by the concept that God owns all the land. In most cases, banks or the government own the land. These institutions may have members that believe in God, but the mission of banks and government is to maintain and grow assets. God may influence some actions, but for most financial institutions, the bottom line is not faith based.

We cannot serve both God and money.
