All of it! I was never taught this before, I wish I was I would’ve invested a long time ago. And it was very interesting to read and know that God, the most high, has been teaching us this the whole time in the Bible. And that just shows, how much he loves us

What’s challenging is the desire to want to be rich RIGHT NOW! I believe most people struggle with waiting. So, instead of making good steward decisions, we make dumb greedy and selfish decisions.

I really love the Proverbs for their investment advice, and Ecclesiastes 11:2 actually blew my mind as I had never even considered that it had to do with diversifying investments. I personally can say that the Bible is the best investment adviser as I have done what it says ( I didn’t know I was following Biblical advice when I started investing!).

Jedidiah, your comments remind me of how God truly loves us. His love even gives us sound financial advice! In 2 Peter 1:3, it says, by his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

When we give Having a heart to give is better than giving for compliments

Being a cheerful giver can be something the flesh attempts to get in the way of at times. I feel that building a deeper relationship with Yeshua (Jesus) can help peel back the onion layers of selfishness we may have from our fleshly way of thinking.

Christian Learning Center Forums How have you seen giving being a blessing not only to the recipient, but also to the one giving the gift?

It truly is better to give than to receive. I enjoy giving and do so frequently. I get joy out of seeing the smile on the other person’s face far more than the thanks that I receive. It is an addicting cycle that bears repeating. The need of the other person is met and I am blessed in the process. Also as I give more then God smiles and is pleased to bless me more abundantly. We simply cannot outgive God and the bonus is it makes us more like Him.

Giving with love not expecting something in return, love of Christ exemplified and shown.

Basic necessities: food, shelter, and clothing should be available to everyone, unfortunately they are not. People who take on the responsibilities of providing these necessities for free should be recognized as blessings.

Every time I have been in financial need God has provided beyond my expetations.

Christian Learning Center Forums What are things that affect your attitude (both good and bad) when it comes to giving?

I sometimes find it harder to give as I should when finances are tight. Other times I feel pressured to give simply because it is expected of me to do so. Sometimes how my day is going also affects my attitude towards giving. I know better than to be stingy but I’m always frugal. Giving makes me want to give more. If I am in a happy place and not stressed out then I tend to want to be a better giver. So the day-to-day issues of real life actually impact my attitude when it comes to my giving.

I give where I can and I will now aim to give cheerfully and with joy

Sometimes I give in the wrong places so pray about this in future

Being able to give is a good thing for me. A bad experience would come with thieves stealing from charity.

I give to organizations that truly benefit the needy.
