To give to the Lord and give like Him with a cheerful heart.

Tithing is just the beginning of our obligation to give as unto the Lord. Never underestimate the impact that even the smallest gift can have on someone else. Do not leave Christ Hungry and Thirsty! That is something to seriously think about … how it applies to all our financial decisions … especially giving to those in need (thereby following Christ’s example).

I find it very revealing that our attitude in giving means more to God than the amount that we are able to give. He wants us to willingly surrender all aspects of our lives to Him and allow Him to guide us in all things. Also the immense benefits of giving cheerfully is interesting to me.
