The issues or contexts that distinguish your church may sound too specific or narrow for Paul to do “real” theology or offer lasting advice, but the context of each of his letters was equally specific. Keeping this in mind will help us read Paul’s epistles for our own context, and also for the original contexts that occasioned these texts.
