Wrap-Up

Hopefully you’re familiar now with terms like “epistle” and “situational” or “occasional” documents. And now you can better appreciate the role of Paul’s letters as a form of “distance education.” Paul was a consummate teacher but always in the context of a deeply committed, personal relationship with the recipients. 

Now it’s time to start looking at his letters, one by one, beginning with what might have been the first written New Testament book.
