It’s time to read to the end of Deuteronomy and listen to Moses’ last words—and his final song. This will bring closure to this inspired summary of God’s instructions for life in covenant community.
We trust you’ve begun to recognize the covenant as an invitation. God rescued Israel to bring them to Mount Sinai to propose a way of living together with Him and with each other. As they prepare to enter the land promised long ago to Abraham, the question is whether or not they will accept this invitation.
What will we do with the covenant invitation God offers? This question is the same for every generation that followed, including our own.
