We’ve also learned that four perspectives are characteristic of Proverbs (see below). As the first exercise in this lesson taught, Proverbs is not prescriptive and, therefore, not moralistic. It is not saying, “Don’t do this, do that.” Rather it is descriptive.

  3. Integrated: holistic and integrated worldview
  4. Grounded in nature and culture
