1. With Joshua’s focus on conquest we can get the impression that every territory and city in the region was destroyed, but this was far from the case. Many passages in Joshua list cities that remained in Canaanite hands, unconquered by the Israelites, or they only mention the defeat of the king (i.e. a local militia in battle). In your workbook write YES next to any city destroyed and NO for those left unconquered.
