The church is called to embody the spirit of God in our world. Ours is a new covenant with God; His Spirit transforms our lives. We are, therefore, a new temple that draws in the lost to become true worshipers of God. 

We live in a highly interconnected and cultural diverse world, much like Corinth with its many forms of idolatry and immorality. As a result, temptations for both abound. Thus, like early Corinthian believers, we struggle to live pure and blameless lives.

Read 1 Corinthians 5.

  1. Reflect below on how this chapter ought to inform the degree to which you and your church community engage with the culture and yet remain separate from it.
