What forms of contemporary “wisdom” might Paul reference in your culture today? Academic research? Analytics? Advanced metrics?
- Reflect on various methods we use today that might be considered smart, informed or simply “the best way to do things.”
- We talked about the tension of strategizing with the Spirit and not over or around him in the last lesson. The wisdom that Paul boasts of in 1 Corinthians is always linked to the Spirit. Discuss some of the ways the church ought to look different in its reliance on the Spirit when compared to the world and its wisdom.
