Jesus’ miracles always had a beneficial effect on the people he cured. He healed disease and disability and even raised the dead. But Jesus was also teaching with his miracles and a number of them were object lessons that proved a point or clarified an aspect of his ministry to all those who were witnesses. Miracles of this type have been called “parabolic miracles.”
