Some of us organize worship services and the rest of us get to participate in those services. When you’ve been on the organizing end, you know it takes a lot of thoughtful preparation to do it well. The books of Chronicles give us a lot of detail about Israel’s temple and the worship system, including the roles of the clergy and musicians.
Let’s take this chance to go back to the origin of Israel’s ritual system to find out what was most important . . . and why.
