Leviticus 13 is dedicated to the diagnosis of scale disease. When an Israelite discovers on his or her skin anything that suggests the possibility of scale disease, he or she needs to approach the priest to be diagnosed as either clean or unclean. If the disease is confirmed they will go through a purification process.
