The Tabernacle provided a new way for God to live with our ancestors. Having given instructions on its construction, the Bible now turns to details about the priests and their sacrifices. You’ll likely be surprised at how much this whole system mirrors life as a family. But it’s a royal family, and these are ways to honor the King.
Before we’re done with this module, we’ll step back and reflect on all of the different ways we have come to understand the Bible’s notion of holiness. That will help us make sense of a lot of topics in the Torah.
