Although it’s common for Bible readers to ignore some of the details of the ritual system, don’t you find the symbolism fascinating? Each article of clothing, just like each item in the Tabernacle, is full of meaning. And it’s all helpful in appreciating who Christ is as he continues his role as our Great High Priest.
What have you taken away from this lesson? The importance of identifying with God so that others recognize His holiness? Or the importance of identifying with God’s people so that they can have legitimate access to Him? Had you ever thought about a priestly identity implying evangelism?
We trust that the calling to be a royal priesthood means something deeper now. In our next lesson you’ll have a chance to go even further in your understanding of this central piece of our identity.
