Read again Leviticus 8 and Ezekiel 43, then answer the questions below.

  1. Compare the two passages and record additional distinctions you observe. 
  1. Where is blood applied to the priest in Leviticus? Where is blood applied to the altar in Ezekiel?
  1. The altar’s horns are located on top of it. The corners of its two gutters are located at its middle and bottom. Knowing this, how might the altar’s daubing locations correspond to the application of blood to the body of the priest?
  1. What is the purpose of this use of blood in the Ezekiel passage (see verse 20)? What might this tell us about the similar sequence in Leviticus? Why is blood applied to the body of the priest?
