Wrap-Up

When everything looks good—when there’s prosperity and peace—it’s hard to believe there’s anything wrong under the surface. That’s the story of Solomon’s reign. Things never looked so good for Israel. They now occupied the promised land—fully. There were signs of wealth everywhere. Neighboring nations were in awe. But you know this isn’t the end of the story for Solomon and for Israel. This kind of “shalom” is not sustainable. We’ll find out how it came apart in the next lesson.
